I am a Glasgow-based writer of fiction and occasionally poetry. My debut novel, The Hotel Hokusai, was published in February 2024 by Ringwood. It has received kind reviews in The Herald, The Glasgow Review of Books and The Bottle Imp, as well as from renowned Scottish authors Iain Maloney, Callum McSorley and John Gerard Fagan. Sadly, since July 2025 Ringwood no longer exists in the same form, so new copies are no longer easily available in bookshops. There are second hand copies out there, including online, or new ones can be bought on Amazon through me or, preferably, directly (just email me using the address at the foot of this page).
I am currently working on a collection of short stories and a second novel.
